Language Arts: Chinese Factory

Course Description
This summer, students become workers in a “factory”. They will work on producing fun games and movies for ‘our customers’.
Activities students can expect:
– Creating fun games using flashcards/ word cards: Students will contribute their idea to create fun games to help who want to learn Mandarin.
– Drama: Students will create a drama show according to the given story.
– Others: Quizlet game, sing Mandarin songs, Music and movement. Pinyin (if it needed)

Arithmetic and Critical Thinking Through Puzzles and Games

Course Description
This series will focus on logical thinking, puzzle solving, and developing arithmetic skills through fun and engaging activities. Students will engage with Desmos web based mathematical tools, Geogebra, and Quizlet, amongst other online tools. Additionally students will learn IB command terms, how to solve problems and complete tasks that will allow them to thrive in PYP mathematics and excel during their transition to MYP mathematics.

Learning languages through cuisine: Desserts of Europe

Course Description
In these hands-on sessions students will be have a hint of cooking simple desserts from Europe like: tiramisu, panna cotta, chocolate fondant, Madeleines (small French pastries), Citron meringue (lemon tart) and pain au chocolat (chocolate bread). the list of ingredients for all week will be shared before the course, with ingredient’s photos and quantities. Parents are welcomed to join in with their children to this program.

Listening, Speaking, & Writing through Macrame Art

Enrich your child’s creative skills to improve writing, speaking, & listening. During this interactive course, students will engage in the art of macrame to authentically improve their literacy skills. Course Description
This series will focus on improving cardiovascular health, muscular strength, core strength and stability, as well as flexibility. Students will engage in warm up, activity, cool down, and theory training. Physical activity that gets the heart rate up has numerous observed benefits including the release of endorphins to improve mood, and increased circulation to improve mental functioning. The theory work will focus on goal setting, understanding how and why to be active, and how to measure heart rate, breath rate, and the perceived rate of exertion to receive increased benefits from exercising.

Business Analysis in an Age of Uncertainty

Concept Based Mathematics
